Things come into bloom in the Cottage's gardens at their appointed times. Yet, due to unseasonable wind and heat, blooms and leaves are shriveled within days. Watering brings relief for a few moments but the ceaseless winds wick away moisture leaving plants wilting and sere.
In protected parts of the garden flowers bloom on schedule and stay to delight the senses.

My next post will feature a recipe for making elderflower water to pamper your complexion!
