Fluffy, white feathers are showing up all about the gardens...
...and in the chicken coop!
A pillow fight?
No. Just Sugar Baby molting and looking a little scruffy!
Notice how pale her normally yellow legs are?
And, her usually erect, red comb is looking faded, a bit dry, and flopped over. This girl is molting. Her shed feathers drift about the gardens.
Sugar Baby had better hurry and grow her new crop of feathers before the weather turns cold.
The other Chicken Girls are done molting, and growing in their new feathers.
