After the first snow of Autumn the sky "speaks" of Winter to come
The day began warmish enough, then a cold front blew in. Snow dusted the ground, briefly, before melting away. It brought our first really cold night in the mid-20's. Brrrr....
An early twilight shows snow way up on the mountaintop. Farmer Chet's corn has been frost-killed to a silvery-gold. Soon it will be harvested. The wind rattles the "bones" of the stalks. Winter is nigh.
It's going to be a cold night! A taste of what's to come.
